I am an Emmy-nominated, LGBTQ+ videomaker whose emotional videos not only inspire, they sway viewers to action.

I began my video career at Newsweek where I quickly climbed the ranks to executive producer and helped the publication earn the first Emmy nomination of any U.S. magazine in 2007. Afterwards, I launched a series of digital docs at MSNBC called “MSNBC Originals,” created programming at the New York Post and managed video production for the Alpha Media Group. My journalism work has been featured by BBC News Magazine, Reuters, CBS Local, ProPublica, New York Magazine, New York’s The Cut, Men’s Health, Glamour, Tumblr Storyboard and more.

In 2015 I joined Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, filming Secretary Clinton on the trail and creating some of the most most-watched social videos of the 2016 cycle, personally accumulating over 65 million views.

Afterwards at the Human Rights Campaign, I tripled the organization’s video views in my first year by raising HRC’s production values, introducing social optimization and launching a cohesive brand strategy.

During the 2022 cycle, I joined Beto O’Rourke’s gubernatorial campaign, earning 200 million social media views. Beltway experts credited me with innovating a new style of political video and consistently praised the campaign’s storytelling. The campaign’s finance team credited my work with making their fundraising easier and helping to break Texas records.

My work has been honored by the Shortys, the Webbys, The National Press Club, the Magazine Publishers of America, the Society of Professional Journalists, GLAAD, MIN and the National Association of Black Journalists. I was nominated for two additional Emmy awards in 2008 and 2019.

I earned a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and an undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary.
