"The District"

I supervised a series of videos after Obama's inauguration that compared his first days in office to the MTV reality shows “The Hills” and “The City.” Newsweek producer Sarah Frank was responsible for the genius idea and execution. I greenlit it, edited the script and oversaw the production, making the suggestion we find an Obama voiceover.

It was one of Newsweek's first viral videos, and it ended up on New York Magazine's Approval Matrix—a big deal within media circles in the mid 2000s. Here is CJR's review from the time.
